Quick overview

  • Our rating: 8.4/10. Built for experienced players who want high limits and a betting exchange.
  • Welcome offer: 50% up to ₹25,000
  • Best for high stakes.
  • Strengths: Betting exchange, high stake limits.
  • Drawbacks: Not beginner friendly.

Our verdict

Is StumpsUp worth it?

StumpsUp is the site on our list for people who already know what they're doing. The exchange lets you back and lay against other bettors instead of taking a bookmaker's price, and the stake limits are high enough for large bets that other sites might cut. Withdrawals arrived within 24 hours, the longest payout window in our top five but inside our 48-hour limit. The ₹1,000 minimum deposit and the exchange's learning curve are why it isn't a site we'd suggest to a beginner. If that's you, start with SixerBet or WicketX.

01 · Betting exchange

How does the StumpsUp betting exchange work?

On the StumpsUp exchange you bet against other people instead of the bookmaker. Backing means betting that something will happen. Laying means betting that it won't, so you take the bookmaker's side and pay out if the selection wins.

Here's the difference in rupees. Back a team at 2.50 with ₹100 and you collect ₹250 if they win, your stake included. Lay the same team at 2.50 for ₹100 and you risk ₹150 to win ₹100 if they lose. Laying is where beginners get caught out, because the amount at risk is bigger than the stake you typed in.

Exchange prices move faster than a bookmaker's and usually carry a smaller margin. You can also back a team before the match and lay it later at shorter odds to lock in a profit whichever way the game goes. Our live betting guide explains back and lay prices in more detail and shows live exchange odds.

02 · High stake limits

Is StumpsUp good for high-stakes betting?

Yes. High stake limits are one of StumpsUp's two main strengths, alongside the exchange. It's our pick for bettors who place large bets and want them accepted in full.

Betting sites cap how much you can stake on a market. StumpsUp's higher limits mean a large bet is more likely to be accepted in full instead of cut down.

Large stakes need firm limits of your own. Decide your weekly budget before the season starts and set it as a deposit limit in your account. Our responsible gambling guide explains how, and lists free support if betting starts to feel out of control.

03 · Welcome offer

Is the StumpsUp welcome bonus worth it?

StumpsUp matches your first deposit 50%, up to ₹25,000. That's the largest maximum bonus on our list, but you need to deposit ₹50,000 to get all of it. It only beats SixerBet's offer on deposits over ₹40,000.

On a ₹10,000 deposit, StumpsUp gives you ₹5,000, while SixerBet gives ₹10,000 and PitchPro gives ₹15,000. On a ₹50,000 deposit, StumpsUp gives ₹25,000 and SixerBet tops out at ₹20,000. So the offer only suits players who were going to deposit large sums anyway.

Check the wagering requirement and minimum odds before you opt in. Also check whether exchange bets count towards the wagering, because on some sites they don't.

04 · Deposits & withdrawals

How fast are StumpsUp withdrawals?

Our withdrawals reached an Indian bank account in under 24 hours. That's inside our 48-hour limit, but it's the longest payout window in our top five. If you need money back the same evening, StumpsUp isn't the site for it.

The minimum deposit is ₹1,000, the highest on our list. You can pay by UPI, NetBanking or crypto, and UPI payments stay inside the app without a browser detour. NetBanking is useful for large deposits that go over your UPI app's daily limit.

Crypto moves quickly, but a crypto payment to an offshore site is very hard to recover if something goes wrong. Upload your PAN and Aadhaar when you sign up so your first withdrawal isn't held for KYC. Our payment methods guide covers the checks to run first.

05 · Where it falls short

What are StumpsUp's weaknesses?

StumpsUp isn't beginner friendly. The minimum deposit is ₹1,000, the exchange takes time to learn, and withdrawals have the longest payout window in our top five. The bonus only pays well on large deposits.

If you're new to betting, WicketX lets you start with ₹200 and SixerBet pays out in under an hour. If you want kabaddi, Boundary Club is our pick. Come back to StumpsUp once you know you want an exchange or higher limits.

Is it right for you?

Who should use StumpsUp?

StumpsUp suits you if

  • You've bet for a while and understand odds and margins
  • You want to lay bets as well as back them
  • Your stakes are large enough to hit limits on other sites
  • You'll deposit ₹40,000 or more and want the largest bonus
